Delta Upsilon offers the following alumni locally funded scholarships annually to undergraduate Delta Upsilon members at the University of Alberta.
The Max Stewart Scholarship provides $1000 annually for a DU Alberta active member. This scholarship focuses on academics and is awarded to the active member with the highest GPA - with a minimum requirement of 3.5. The Max Stewart is awarded at the DU Rush Stag in late September. The selection committee consists of a member from the University of Alberta, an DU Alberta Alumni representative and an undergraduate DU member.
The Active Leadership Scholarship of $1000 is presented annually. This award goes to an active member who has demonstrated involvement and leadership at the Alberta Chapter and community. This award has a GPA minimum of 2.5. The winner of this award is announced within the first two months of the start of the school year.
The Edgerton King Scholarship of $1000 is presented annually in honor of the contributions of Edge King to the DU Alberta Chapter. This scholarship is awarded to a new member who has displayed leadership in his community over the 2 years prior to joining Delta Upsilon. This award is presented annually in January at the first chapter meeting following initiations.
Introduced in fall 2009, the new associate member $1000 Scholarship will be awarded for the first time in January 2010. This Delta Upsilon Alumni sponsored scholarship is awarded to the new Delta Upsilon associate member who achieves the highest GPA in his first term (Sept-Dec of the school year). The winner will have been enrolled in a minimum of four (4) classes in that semester, must successfully complete the new member education training and initiate into Delta Upsilon in January of that school year. The winner of the Edge King is not eligible for this award.
The Active Scholastic Scholarship(s) is to be introduced in 2009 and reflects accomplishments of the previous school term. The $1000 scholarship sponsored by Delta Upsilon Alberta Alumni is split equally and awarded to all Active members who were enrolled in at least 4 classes per term and achieved a 3.3 GPA or hight. Winners of the Max Steward and the Active Leadership Scholarships are not eligible for this scholarship.
